Amendment 14

Amendment 14 proposed the addition of a number of lengths of double yellow line restrictions in East Hill, Tenterden in order to control unsafe parking practices around its junction with Oaks Road. In addition the amendment proposed minor changes to existing lengths of double yellow line in Golden Square and Beacon Oak Road and provides junction protection in Appledore Road at it's junction with East Hill.

Formal public consultation was held on these proposals between 15th October and 5th November 2009. The results of the consultation were subsequently presented to the Joint Transportation Board at their meeting of 8th December 2009. In recognition of responses received, Members recommended that the proposals be taken forward with the exception of the proposed removal of a section of 'no waiting' restriction on the south-western side of Beacon Oak Road, just north-west of the Greenhedges access. This decision was subsequently upheld by the Executive and the Traffic Regulation Order (Amendment 14) was made on 17th March 2010.
