Street Trading
Street Trading is defined as the selling or
offering for sale of any article in the street. This includes food
such as burgers, kebabs and doughnuts or other things such as
jewellery, household items plus face painting and hair
braiding.
Anyone trading, other than from a shop,
requires a Street Trading Licence or Street Trading
Consent.
The type of license or consent required
depends on the area you will be trading from.
The map below indicates the licence or
consent required in certain areas.

It must be stressed that applicants must not trade until a
licence or consent has been issued.
Report Illegal Street Trading
Illegal street traders are not tolerated within Ashford and if
caught, risk prosecution, a fine of £1000 and loss of all their
goods.
