If you are interested in trading in Ashford Lower High Street Market you will need to complete a Market Trading Application.

You will then need to:

1. Complete and return a Street Trading Licence Application 41.1Kb PDF and:
   a. Provide public liability insurance of £2,000,000 obtainable from any insurance company.
   b. Vehicle details if you are wishing to enter the pedestrianised zone with a vehicle, as a permit will be required to allow you entry through the barrier.
   
   Your application forms will be reviewed and when a decision is made you will be contacted to advise if you have been accepted or declined trading in Ashford.
2. Rent fees range from £1.00 to £2.00 per foot depending on location. (The exact daily pitch fee will be decided on the first day of trading by the market representative present on your first day.)
3. If you are located in an area where there is not a canopy provided by the Council, you will need to have a green and white stripped sheet for your stall. You will need to provide your own stall and cover in the Lower High Street.
4. Market opens at 9am, therefore, everything should be unloaded and stall set up and vehicles moved off site before 9am (most traders arrive between 7am and 8am to do this). The market operates until 4pm. At 4pm vehicles are allowed on site and stalls should be packed away as quickly as possible giving attention to health and safety as public will be in the area.
5. All merchandise should be clearly labelled.
6. All waste generated from your stall should be removed from site with you at the end of the trading day.
