The Core Strategy was adopted by the council on the 10 July 2008 and sets out the overall vision and objectives for the delivery of growth in Ashford between 2006 and 2021. The Core Strategy is the principle Development Plan Document (DPD) for the borough and all other Local Plan documents must conform to it.
This document is due to be formally reviewed by the end of 2015 and will be called the Local Plan to 2030. This will determine how the most sustainable and deliverable pattern of growth can be achieved within the borough up to 2030.
The Policies contained within the Core Strategy can be viewed on the Local Plan Policies Map.
There are a number of evidence base background documents to this plan, most of which can be found on the Generic Policy Evidence Base page.
