Ashford's Cardboard Prom - final film released

On Friday 10 June 2022, over 120 local schoolchildren took part in a unique performance on Ashford Bandstand as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations?
Animate Arts Company worked with four local primary schools, St Simons RC, Great Chart, Lady Joanna Thornhill and Phoenix Community along with students from Ashford College, to create their own instruments, using just cardboard, paper and their own imaginations and performed to a specially created soundtrack featuring rousing proms favourites plus a few more recent hits.
The event was commissioned by Revelation Ashford and funded by Kent County Council, the Arts Society Ashford and several of our ABC members.
