What we look for during the inspection

Read the Inspection Proforma [pdf] 292KB for what is excepted from the scheme in order to achieve a Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4 award following your inspection.

Request for a re-rating

The owner or manager of the business may ask us to re-rate their premises where they are of the view that the rating currently awarded to the premises no longer reflects the conditions existing there.

You may only request a re-rating after three (3) months of your rating being issued.

To request a revisit, complete our request for a re-rating form [pdf] 207KB and return it to us.

What can the owner of a business do if they think the rating given is unfair or wrong?

The owner or manager of the business should talk to the officer that inspected the business about why the rating was given. If the business owner or manager still thinks that the rating is unfair or wrong, they can appeal.

The appeal must be made in writing within 28 days of the notification of the THRS rating and must state the grounds upon which the appeal is founded.

To appeal, download our THRS appeal form [pdf] 207KB and return the completed form to us.
