Singleton Environment Centre
Singleton Environment Centre (SEC) is a sustainable venue owned by Ashford Borough Council and operated by the Singleton Spaces charity, opened in 2008. The Centre has been built with the environment in mind from start to finish. It doesn't stop there either, the running of the centre is done with environmental best practice at its heart. From using local, recycled building materials through to recycling all waste where possible.
The centre is situated in a tranquil setting adjoining 15 hectares of woodland with stunning views and thriving wildlife, and is located three miles from the town centre and Ashford International train station.
Singleton Environment Centre has been built adjoining the Ashford Community Woodland; a Local Nature Reserve designed and managed by the local community.
The centre has bright and airy rooms for meetings, training or events, family celebrations and community events which support the centre's running costs. Bookings can be made here.
Visitors can meander around the green spaces and visit the Footprints Cafe Bistro serving fair trade, organic and homemade produce, Tuesday to Sundays.
Please visit the Singleton Environment Centre website for details of opening times, forthcoming activities and to find out more about the centre.
