Bedding (sheets, blankets, duvet covers, pillow cases) - Textiles banks, household waste recycling centre

Bicycles - Take to a second-hand cycle shops or charity shops if in working order or take to your local household waste recycling centre
Biscuit tins - Recycling bin (green). Metal and plastic biscuit tins are both accepted
Black plastics - Such as ready meal trays - general waste/non-recyclable bin (grey)

Christmas Trees - Garden bin (brown) if signed up for the service, if not you can use the Pilgrims Hospice Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme or take to your local household waste recycling centre

Vegetable oil - Cooking oil and fat shouldn’t be poured down sinks as it can cause blockages. Small amounts of cooking oil, fats, plate scrapings of fatty food can be placed in your food caddy

Wet wipes - Baby wipes, cosmetic wipes, bathroom cleaning wipes and moist toilet tissues are not recyclable and are not flushable either even though some labels say they are. They should always be placed in your general waste/non-recyclable bin (grey)

Wrapping paper - Non-foil/shiny and glitter free wrapping paper can be placed in your recycling bin (green), please remove as much sellotape as possible and ribbons and bows. If it contains glitter, foil or is shiny then it should be placed in your general waste/non-recyclable bin (grey)
