Splash into summer with LoveAshford.com - 2nd July

A summer of family fun awaits as Ashford town centre prepares to host a multitude of events and activities.

Throughout July and August, LoveAshford.com, will be animating the town with a series of family-friendly events and activities with their Splashes of Summer campaign.

During July, in the lower High Street and Park Mall shopping centre, a range of giant outdoor games will be set up for families and visitors to enjoy for free. From Connect 4 to chess, a play house and a sandpit, there’s plenty of fun for all the family! There will also be colourful bunting hanging in the lower High Street, Park Mall and near the bandstand to help brighten up the town centre ready for the summer season.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. August will be jam-packed with lots of fun, free events, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled on the LoveAshford.com website and follow their Facebook page for announcements and details on all the upcoming events.

Make sure you look out for the giant colourful splashes which will be appearing around the town centre in July, which will have details about the events coming up in August.

And don’t forget, there’s FREE parking every Sunday within the council-run car parks at Edinburgh Road, Station Road and Flour Mills.

Speaking about the wide variety of planned events, Councillor Galpin said: “With such an array of fun outdoor activities on offer during July and August, there’s never been a better time to visit Ashford town centre and explore what it has to offer.”

LoveAshford.com launched as a website in 2015 and showcases Ashford town centre and its businesses. The website is dedicated to creating a network of businesses within the town; more than 150 businesses are currently signed up to the site including M&S, Debenhams, New Look, Pandora and Pizza Express.
