The Ashford Tree Trail Submission Form

How to enter

To enter a tree into Ashford’s Tree Trail, please send up to three good quality photos of your decorated tree along with the form below.

The Tree Trail Virtual Forest will be live from 2 June 2022, and we highly recommend that you send your form and photos before this date if your tree is to be selected as part of the official weekend for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Terms & Conditions

  • We cannot guarantee to include all entries due to limited spaces on the virtual map.
  • We encourage you to read the official Tree Trail Creative Pack for guidance. In particular we are looking for decorated trees that embrace using recycled materials, and designs that celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee.
  • We can only accept one tree per household.
  • We will not consider any submissions to the Tree Trail after 18 June 2022.

About the photo

  • Please take a good quality photo of your tree with a digital camera or smart phone. Ideally this should be a high quality portrait orientation image.
  • Try to capture the full tree in all its glory.
  • Consider the angle of your photo, background and surroundings – removing any distractions from your artwork.
  • The image should only be of the tree. Please do not include any people in the image
  • You may choose to submit another photo of the tree’s decorations in more detail.

If representing a group or household, this must be the main person to contact about tree. Parents/guardians/teachers must be the main contact for children under 16 years old.

Your Tree's Details

Up to 200 words to describe the inspiration, design and materials used to make your tree.
If you wish to have your name(s) featured, please provide names, and/or group name.
Up to 100 words are provided for you to include details about yourself, such as ages, school name, description of your business, weblink to organisation, etc.
If you want to upload multiple files from a computer, click Choose Files and select multiple files at the same time (by using CTRL and click to select multiple files). If you select a wrong file, click Choose Files again and click Cancel. You can then reupload your files from scratch. If you want to add additional uploads, this will replace any that you have already uploaded, so please upload all documents in one go.

Data Protection Statement

Ashford Borough Council is the data controller for the personal information you provide in this form. Your information will be used by the council and its partner the Animate Arts Company to administrate The Ashford Tree Trail. Collection and processing is being conducted relying upon a consensual legal basis. The creators of the selected trees will have their names and images of their trees plotted on a generic ward level map of the borough, this virtual map will have no reference to physical locations beyond ward.
