Places to film
The Ashford area is home to a variety of interesting locations for your film productions, including modern towns and shopping areas such as the the Ashford Designer Outlet and picturesque English villages, stunning farms and gorgeous Kent countryside such as Wye Nature Reserve. And don't miss the beautiful rural town of Tenterden, the Jewel in the Weald.
Highlights in the area include Hole Park Estate, which has 15 acres of privately owned gardens set within in 200 acres of park and farmland, as well as oast houses and barns. There are also windmills in Willesborough, Wittersham and Woodchurch.
The village of Chilham is a film favourite due its remarkable fifteenth century square of black and white timbered buildings, stunning private castle, church, school and shops and eateries.
Another popular film location in the area is Kent and East Sussex Railway, a period railway line which is based in Tenterden and has four stations in the Ashford borough.
The recently launched wine trail around Tenterden is a must-visit for enthusiasts keen to visit our award-winning vineyards.
With Ashford International, London and Europe are just a train ride away and the area has good motorway links with the M20.
