2022 Polling District Review

Interim Polling Districts and Polling Places Review

Consultation period from 9 May 2022 - 27 June 2022

Ashford Borough Council is conducting an interim review of  polling districts and polling places within the Ashford Parliamentary Constituency.

The local authority is required to carry out a full review of all polling districts and polling places every five years. The next full review runs from 1 October 2023 and must be completed by 31 January 2025. Prior to this we are conducting the interim review as we have Borough and Parish Council elections scheduled to take place in May 2023.

We welcome comments on the existing and any proposed polling districts and polling places or any alternative proposals you wish to be considered.

Although the review is of polling districts and polling places, it is accepted that polling stations are linked to the review and comments are invited regarding those stations currently used and/or any suggested alternatives ensuring that:

  • electors have such reasonable facilities for voting as are practicable in the circumstances, and;
  • as far as is reasonable and practicable, every polling place is accessible to  electors who are disabled.

Please see the links below for the Notice of Interim Review and the timetable.

Please email any comments to vote@ashford.gov.uk or write to Electoral Services, Ashford Borough Council, Civic Centre, Tannery Lane, Ashford,  Kent, TN23 1PL.
