Carnival of the Baubles and festive markets in Ashford Town Centre this weekend

Ashford's Carnival of the Baubles 2023 is in the Town Centre on Saturday 25 November!
There's something for the whole family to enjoy - so do come into town and be a part of the festive fun!
This year's parade is sponsored by EKC Ashford College and is enchanted forest themed. The baubles in the parade this year have been created by local businesses, schools, community groups and members of the LGBTQ+ community - and is going to be bigger and better than ever!
Timetable for the day
10:00 – 18.00: Festive Markets in Park Mall, Lower High Street and Elwick Place
10:00 – 14:00: Free Festive Decoration Workshops at The Bandstand
14:00 – 16:15: Free Music & Dance Entertainment at The Bandstand
15:00 – 16:00: Pizza making with Santa at Coachworks (booking required)
16:00 – 17:00: Farrah the Fox arrives at Elwick Place
16:00 – 16:20: Christmas Tree & Bauble Light Switch On at Elwick Place
16:20 – 16:45: Performances by Theatretrain Ashford, Circadian and more at Elwick Place
17:00 – 18:15: Ashford’s Carnival of the Baubles Parade from Elwick Place to Lower High Street
17:00 – 20:00: Free Carnival Disco with DJ John Robertson
18:30 – 22:30: Free After Carnival Party at Coachworks Ashford
In order for all of the above to take place safely, so please be aware that there will be road closures tomorrow:
- 4-6pm: Elwick Road (from the junction of Church Street to Apsley Street)
- 4-6pm: Bank Street and High Street
- 6-8pm: Bank Street (from the barrier) and High Street
If you're driving into town, there's free parking in Edinburgh Road multi-storey Car Park (TN24 8LG) and Elwick Place Car Park (TN23 1DY) after 3pm.
As well as Carnival of the Baubles, Rapid Events is in Ashford Town Centre filling the Lower High Street and Elwick Place with festive market stalls including foodie treats and Christmas gifts.

Elwick Place Festive Fayre
- Thursday 23 Nov to Thursday 7 December
- Monday- Saturday 10:00 -18:00 / Sundays 10:00-16:00 (exception of Saturday 26 which will remain open until 20:00)
FEATURING Thai Food, Greek cuisine, Romanian grill, South American handicrafts and more...!
There's also Christmas lights and the Christmas tree is in situ, so please do head into Ashford this weekend to really mark the beginning of the festive season.
