Timetables and Monitoring
The Local Plan Scheme and timetable
The council is required to publish a Local Development Scheme which sets out the various documents that will make up its Local Plan and identify the broad content and timescale of when the key stages of the process for each Local Plan Document will be reached.
Each local development plan document is profiled within the scheme, explaining the purpose of the document, its status, and how each local development document relates to the Local Plan as a whole. The scheme is reviewed on an annual basis by the Authority Monitoring Report, to enable any adjustments to be made, for example, if timings need to be changed to reflect changes in circumstances.
The fifth review of the scheme was approved by members in October 2015 and can be viewed below.
Following the delay to the New Local Plan to 2030 a revised LDS and timtable is currently being prepared and will be published in Spring 2017.
Authority Monitoring Report
The Authority Monitoring Report (AMR) gives an update of the current position and the future schedule of all of the documents within the scheme (above) as well as providing useful information and statistics about the borough such as population, job and employment floorspace growth, housing completions and permissions, and gains or losses to community facilities. The latest AMR was published in early 2017 for the April 2015 - March 2016 period.
