Tenterden Town Hall reopens its doors to the public

Tenterden Town Council is delighted to announce the reopening of Tenterden Town Hall, welcoming residents, visitors, businesses and community groups back into one of the town's most iconic buildings. 

Following extensive restoration and improvement works, the Town Hall is once again open to the public and ready to serve as a vibrant hub for the community. The reopening marks an important milestone in preserving the building's heritage while ensuring it can continue to meet the needs of modern users.

As well as being a historic landmark, Tenterden Town Hall continues to play a vital role in the civic life of the town. The building serves as the home of Tenterden Town Council and is the venue for Council meetings, where local decisions are discussed and made on behalf of the community.

Located at the heart of Tenterden High Street, the Town Hall remains a visible symbol of local democracy, bringing residents and elected councillors together in the centre of town.

Marking the significance of the building’s reopening after extensive renovations, Councillor Jane Mills, Town Mayor said: "We are thrilled to welcome people back into Tenterden Town Hall. This building has been at the centre of community life for generations, and its reopening ensures that residents and visitors can once again enjoy this remarkable historic space".

The Town Hall offers a unique and prestigious venue in the heart of Tenterden. Available to hire by organisations, individuals and businesses, it combines historic character with modern amenities. With a variety of rooms and facilities, it is well suited to community activities and events, celebrations and weddings, meetings, and corporate events.

The Town Hall also acts as a local hub for public services. In addition to being the home of Tenterden Town Council, it hosts regular sessions from Ashford Borough Citizens Advice and Ashford Borough Council Customer Services, helping residents access advice, support and council services locally.
