Consultation and Publicity
After we receive a planning application, we will undertake a period of consultation where views on the proposed development can be expressed. The formal consultation period will normally last for 21 days and we will identify and consult a number of different groups.
Our main consultation types are:
- Public consultation
- Statutory consultees
- Non-statutory consultees
Some applications, however, do not require statutory consultation or publicity and therefore, whilst visible on the public register online, they will not be open to formal consultation.
Full guidance on how we consult during the plan-making process and also when we receive planning applications can be found in our Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)
