Local Plan Timetable and How To Get Involved
The council is working to prepare a new Local Plan. The Local Plan will be known as the Ashford Local Plan 2043.
In accordance with Regulations 4 – 10 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026 there is a requirement to publish a timetable for the Local Plan preparation.

| 17/02/2027 - 31/03/2027 | Gateway 2 - observations and advice from Independent Assessor(s) |
| 17/05/2027 | Start of proposed local plan consultation |
| 12/07/2027 | End of proposed local plan consultation |
| 31/08/2027 - 28/09/2027 | Gateway 3 - observations and advice from Independent Assessor(s) |
| 01/11/2027 | Submission of Local Plan to Secretary of State for examination |
| 31/03/2028 | Adoption of Local Plan |
