This role supports the Chief Executive in translating the vision for the borough into a direction for the council. It also provides leadership and direction in developing and implementing strategic objectives. It covers a range of functions and services, including commercial, statutory and support services.
Ben is also our Section 151 Officer.
The Deputy Chief Executive is responsible for:
- Customer, Technology and Finance (Corporate Director, Maria Stevens)
- Health and Wellbeing (Corporate Director, Anthony Baldock)
- Place, Space and Leisure (Corporate Director, Tracey Butler)
- Strategic Projects (Paul McKenner)
- Development (Giles Holloway)
- On and off-street parking services and enforcement.
- Resilience and events safety.
- Community safety and anti-social behaviour.
- The Ashford Monitoring Centre, which includes CCTV, intruder alarms and Telecare.
