Ashford Town Centre Business Grants
These grant schemes have now closed. We will publicise any further rounds on this web page and in the Business Newsletter.
The Ashford Town Centre Business Grant provides support to landlords or tenants to make improvements to their business premises and attract investment into Ashford Town Centre. There are two grant schemes; the Shop Improvement Grant and the Empty Premises Grant. Both provide up to 60% of the cost of works.
The Shop Improvement Grant could provide up to £3,000 for work that needs to be carried out such as repairs, renovations, energy efficiency improvements or fit-outs to occupied units.
The Empty Premises Grant could provide up to £10,000 for bringing an empty town centre unit back into use.
This grant scheme is fully funded by S106 contributions aimed at supporting the vitality and viability of Ashford Town Centre.
The deadline for this round of applications was 11:59pm on Sunday 10 December 2023. Depending on the final number of applications received, the council may consider further rounds after this date.
Please read the full policy attached at the bottom of this page and take a look at each grant’s page for further information.
Note: Works allowed under these grant schemes would likely require Planning Permission (such as Listed Building Consent, Advertising Consent or similar). Ashford Town Centre is largely within a Conservation Area so applicants would need to consider the design and impact of their project.
