Ashford Borough Council and the Ashford Community Safety Partnership (ACSP) are inviting young people to enjoy a free day of music, sport, wellbeing activities and interactive sessions at the Reach Out Youth Festival this summer.

The event will take place on Wednesday 5 August 2026, from 1pm to 7pm at Civic Park, Tannery Lane, Ashford, TN23 1PL, and is open to young people aged 11 to 17.

The free, inclusive festival has been signed to bring young people together in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment, while offering positive activities and opportunities to connect with local services and organisations.

Activities on the day will include:

  • Live music performances and DJ workshops
  • A variety of sporting activities
  • Interactive sessions and engagement opportunities
  • A dedicated wellbeing area
  • Food and drink options available throughout the day

The festival forms part of the Ashford Community Safety Partnership’s ongoing work to create positive opportunities for young people, help reduce anti-social behaviour and support meaningful engagement across the borough.

The event is made possible through the outstanding support and partnership of a number of key organisations committed to improving opportunities for young people across Ashford. We are particularly grateful to Uprising, Ashford College, Freedom Leisure, Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) and Sam Griffin, whose involvement is helping to shape an exciting, engaging and safe event.Reach Out logo

Through interactive activities, advice, demonstrations and opportunities to connect with young people, these organisations are playing a vital role in inspiring, supporting and empowering the next generation.

Cllr Katrina Giles, Portfolio Holder for Communities and Health at Ashford Borough Council, said: “The Reach Out Youth Festival is a fantastic opportunity for young people across Ashford to come together, try something new and enjoy a fun, safe and supportive event in the heart of the borough.

“We know how important it is to provide positive activities for young people, and this festival is about celebrating them, listening to them and helping them feel connected to their community.”

Local businesses, organisations and members of the community are also being invited to support the event. Donations of raffle prizes are welcomed to help enhance the day and support engagement activities.
