Ashford Borough Council (ABC) is inviting its residents to have their say on the proposed play space plans at Conningbrook Lake Country Park.

By using funding secured under Section 106 (developer contributions), ABC will be installing a destination play area on the site, which has already established itself as a destination within the Borough that regularly attracts visitors and users from further afield.

Kompan - one of the biggest play companies in the UK and have helped Ashford deliver multiple play projects across the borough - will once again be involved with proceedings for the destination play area.

They will work closely with ABC to ensure we create something that children will use for many years to come, using the consultation to feed into design.

The council has created an online survey on its website so that people can express their views, which includes the types of play equipment that they would want to see or be best suited. The survey is open until Friday 6 June and can be completed here.

Alternatively, posters will be put up around Ashford – namely at Conningbrook Lake, The Julie Rose Stadium and The Stour Centre – which will have a QR code that when scanned, will take residents to the online survey.

All plans for Conningbrook Lake Country Park have been devised as such to retain the tranquillity, habitat and nature conservation value of this important location.
