Victoria Park Christmas Fair

If you haven’t started your Christmas shopping yet or you’re in need of some festive cheer then head down to Victoria Park on Saturday 4 December for the park project’s very first Christmas Market.

Running from 10am to 4pm you’ll discover around 45 stalls offering a variety of goods including upcycled fashion, wood carving, homemade candles and fragrances, knitted goods, personalisable items and more. With gifts from an array of talented makers from the borough there’s no better reason not to shop and support local this Christmas.

There’ll be representation from a number of community groups and local charities including the 7th Ashford Scouts, Wyvern Sixth Form Students, Kennington Woodfolk, South East Dog Rescue and Friends of William Harvey Hospital amongst others.

The National Childbirth Trust will also be there with a dedicated tent for parents to feed babies with privacy and comfort.

And if all this festive shopping sparks an appetite you’ll find range of food available including coffee and cake from our friends at the Coffee Cart, plus stalls offering sausage rolls, waffles and fresh doughnuts. To embrace the Christmas spirit you can even enjoy a cup of alcohol-free mulled wine and mince pies from the Friends of Victoria Park.

For your entertainment we have The Ashford Concert Band at 12pm, Ashford Sings at 1pm, and Simia Circus School will be performing aerial silk displays. Even Father Christmas himself will be there as the Ashford Lions host him in his grotto in the Project Hub from 12pm to 4pm.

Finally, to make your experience just that bit more magical there’ll even be some ‘snow’ (just maybe not the real stuff!).
