Previous Mayor, Cllr Lyn Suddards, celebrates fundraising success

During the final year of her term (2025-2026) our former Mayor, Cllr Lyn Suddards, raised over £12,000 for both the Motor Neurone Disease Association and Alzheimer's Research UK.

This was raised through a variety of fundraising efforts, such as : Mayor's Quiz (£1,261), the Curry Finale (£1,439), the ABBA tribute (£2,840) to name a few. This brings the 2024-2026 total to £29,324 with Sk8side included. 

Speaking about her fundraising efforts, Lyn says: "I want to thank other councillors, across parties, many organisations & friends that we have made for your support in attending these fundraising events. Many people donated tickets for others. Too many impressive individuals and organisations that I have visited that it would be unfair to single any out."
