Harry Potter Day returns to Victoria Park Ashford
Published: 17/09/2026
Hogwarts students (along with their magical or muggle friends and family) are invited to Harry Potter Day at Victoria Park, Ashford, on Saturday 10 October, 10am to 2pm.
Each witch or wizard brave enough to enter the Chamber of Secrets will receive a challenge from Tom Riddle. They can then test their knowledge of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on a trail around the park and complete Riddle’s riddle. Each student can enter a draw to win some magical prizes.
For even more of a challenge, the eagle-eyed should look out for one of our escaped snitches. If they manage to find one and return it to our Professors they will be rewarded with a special snitch cake courtesy of Harper’s Café.
Harper’s Café will also have some tasty treats on sale for when our intrepid quizzers need a pit stop (and not a bogey flavoured Bertie Bott’s Bean in sight!)
Parking at the park for cars, carriages and brooms will be very limited so magical and muggle folk should please take public transport or walk if they can. There is a nearby car park on Victoria Road, which is just a five-minute stroll away but this is not free so visitors will need to pay.
So come along at any time from 10am to 2pm for a magical day… but beware the Basilisk!
Councillor Guy Pullen, Cabinet Member for Parks and Recreation at Ashford Borough Council, said: “Harry Potter Day is one of our most popular community events and is always enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. We’re excited to welcome everyone back to Victoria Park for another magical day of fun and adventure.”
