New software helps organisers to manage their eventPublished: 14/06/2021
Ashford Borough Council has changed the way organisers apply for event applications in the borough with new permit software called Eventapp.
Event organisers are now able to make and manage their event applications online, view the venue calendar and check availability of our parks and open spaces as well as check timescales for the submission of documents.
The new system has improved efficiency for those applying for event permits and streamlined the process so that all documents are held in one place.
The new method is currently free of charge until 1 January 2022 after which time an application charge will be introduced which will vary on the type of event taking place.
If you are planning a public event in the Ashford Borough you can get advice and guidance from the Safety Advisory Group page on our website. If the event is on council land you need to apply for permission for the use of council land. If your event involves a licensable activity (such as the sale of alcohol, playing of recorded music, live music, or, film) you can also find out how to apply for a Temporary Event Notice.
