Applying to purchase your Council Home

To apply to purchase your council home, the form ‘RTB1’ will need to be completed and sent to Ashford Borough Council.

A copy of the RTB1 form can be downloaded from the Gov.uk website: Right to Buy Form

The form normally requires printing so that it can be completed and signed by hand.

If you have trouble accessing the RTB1 form using the link above, or are unable to print the form, you can contact our Right to Buy Officer and ask for a form to be posted or emailed to you.

Together with the statutory RTB1 form, Ashford Borough Council also requests applicants to complete an ‘Additional Information’ form. This additional form collects information such as how the purchase will be funded, if the applicant owns any other properties and queries about legal problems with debt. A copy of the Additional Information form is available here.
