Tenterden Christmas Market returns for 10 days of festive fun

The magic of Christmas returns to Tenterden High Street this winter as the Tenterden Christmas Market brings 10 days of festive cheer from Friday 14th to Sunday 23rd November 2025.

From 14–23 November, the Marquee Market will stretch from Ozgur Restaurant to Station Road, filled with festive crafts, gifts and artisan delights.

The event then expands from 21–23 November for a spectacular final weekend, with live music and entertainment extending down to the East Cross layby and using the High Street parking bays, transforming the town into a sparkling festive wonderland.

Visitors can look forward to a wide range of festive highlights, including the Christmas Lights Switch-On on the afternoon of Friday 14 November, which will light up the High Street.

There will also be live music and entertainment, children’s rides, and street food stalls throughout the final weekend. You can visit the Christmas Tree Festival at Zion Baptist Church on 21–22 November and explore the Big Wrap Christmas Craft Fair in the Woolpack Barn on 15–16 November. 

Families can enjoy Christmas Town at Rockits, offering festive fun and activities for little ones from 21–23 November. On Sunday 23 November, The Mildred Trust will host a craft stall in St Mildred’s Church, featuring beautiful handmade items – all created by talented local crafters.

While you’re there, please take time to explore Tenterden’s independent shops and emporiums, which will be beautifully decorated with Christmas windows and twinkling trees above the shopfronts. 

Don’t miss Ethel Loves Me, Sid’s Emporium, Webbs of Tenterden and Rising Star, all offering something extra special for Christmas shoppers! The town’s pubs, cafés and restaurants will also be serving delicious seasonal food and drink to complete the festive experience.

The Christmas Market stalls along the High Street promise a wonderful mix of artisan food, handmade gifts, and festive treats. Expect mouth-watering Greek, crêpe, Thai and Indian street food, alongside local producers offering cheese, biscuits, cakes, sweets, and relishes, while you discover unique artisan crafts, handmade gifts and local vineyards and drinks producers offering festive selections perfect for Christmas celebrations!

As part of the first weekend of the market, the Big Wrap Christmas Craft Fair (15–16 November, Woolpack Barn) will showcase a wonderful selection of local makers and producers.

Stalls will feature Christmas gifts, crochet items, jewellery, woodturning, stained glass, botanicals, honey, lavender, ceramics, dog treats, pickles, vodka, wine, and handmade wooden gifts – all ideal for Christmas shopping.

Visitors are encouraged to use the Town Centre car parks – Waitrose/Recreation Ground Road, Station Road, Leisure Centre, and Bridewell Lane. Additional weekend parking will be available at Tenterden Town Station (Kent & East Sussex Railway) on Fridays to Sundays (14–16 & 21–23 November).

Please note there will be a 20mph speed limit along Tenterden High Street during the final weekend (21–23 November), as well as an official one-way system around Bridewell Lane and Highbury Lane to help with traffic flow and safety.

The Tenterden Christmas Market has become a real highlight of the year – a chance for the whole community to come together and celebrate the start of the festive season.
