If you move home you can let us know by completing our council tax change of address form. This form covers both leaving an address and moving to an address.

Landlords can also advise us of a change of occupancy to their property.

Change of circumstances

If you have had a change in your circumstances (including changing your name) which may affect your entitlement to a reduction, please tell us the details.

Notification of death

We understand the challenges faced when someone close passes away. It's important to tell us as soon as you can if an adult occupier of a property dies so we can update Council Tax records.  

In most cases, the 'Tell Us Once' scheme or Registrar of Deaths will inform us. If the information is received another way, there is no automatic sharing of information between the Council Tax office and other Departments. If you only need to inform the Council Tax department of the death, you can let us know directly by completing an online form. This form will give you the opportunity to advise us if you are the sole occupier of the property, and a 25% single occupancy discount can be considered.
