Free parking returns this Christmas in Ashford and Tenterden

We are pleased to confirm that this December, our community can once again enjoy free parking in all council-owned car parks in Ashford and Tenterden during the festive season. Free parking will be available in both town centres to encourage residents and visitors to do their Christmas shopping locally and to support our local businesses.
Free Christmas parking will be available on the following days and times:
- Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December - FREE all day
- Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December - FREE all day
The following council-owned car parks are all included in the offer:
- Adley's Yard Car Park
- Civic Centre and Stour Centre Car Park
- Dover Place Car Park
- Edinburgh Road Multi-Storey Car Park
- Elwick Place Car Park
- Elwick Road Car Park
- Flour Mills (East Hill) Car Park
- Station Road Car Park
- Vicarage Lane Car Park
- Victoria Road Car Park
Our car parks in Tenterden include:
- Bridewell Lane Car Park
- Recreation Ground Car Park
- Station Road Car and Coach Park
- Tenterden Leisure Centre Car and Coach Park
Cllr Steve Campkin, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Climate, Environment and Sustainability at Ashford Borough Council, said: "I'm delighted that we've been able to secure another four days of free parking for residents over the festive period on top of the free parking that we offer throughout the year. This December, I encourage everyone to shop locally to support our town centre businesses in the borough.
All of our car parks are included in the offer so I hope residents will take advantage in the run up to the big day and enjoy the extra flexibility that this will bring when shopping in Ashford and Tenterden."
Remember that we already offer free parking in the following selected car parks every week:
- Edinburgh Road multi-storey Car Park, TN24 8LG - free after 3pm Monday-Saturday, free all day Sunday
- Elwick Place Car Park, TN23 1DY (cinema car park) - free after 3pm every day
- Flour Mills Car Park, TN24 8PA - free on Sundays and Bank Holidays
- Station Road Car Park, TN23 1PP - free after 3pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays
- Bridewell Lane car park in Tenterden, (TN30 6EY) - free parking on Sunday and Bank Holidays
