Ashford Borough Council is asking for residents to have their say on the Masterplan framework for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Park (previously known as Discovery Park).

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Park (QPJP) will be a strategic park for all of Ashford's residents to enjoy. It will be a new, major open space and recreational area which will include sports pitches, indoor sports buildings and play space, as well as areas of informal greenspace and areas for wildlife.

Ashford Borough Council has prepared a Masterplan framework for the strategic park to set out the key ‘character’ areas of the park and provide an illustrative view of how the park may look in the future.

The next step is for consultation with residents and local businesses. Views should be submitted online by 5pm on Friday 18 July 2025.

You can find out more about the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Park Masterplan Framework and have your say by visiting the consultation portal.

Everyone is encouraged to have their say using the online portal. However, hard copies of the Masterplan Framework and comment forms are available to view at the Ashford Gateway, the council offices at International House or at the Chilmington Green Community Cabin.

If you have any queries you can email the council via planning.policy@ashford.gov.uk, telephone (01233) 330229 or write to Plan Making & Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Ashford Borough Council, International House, Dover Place, Ashford TN23 1HU.
