Ashford Borough Council is excited to announce that the Ashford Food and Drink Festival will be serving up a full day of foodie fun when it returns to Ashford Town Centre on Saturday 27 June 2026 from 10am to 7pm. Residents and visitors are encouraged to save the date and join a full day of exceptional flavours, entertainment, and family‑friendly fun.
Festival fever will take over the whole town, stretching from the High Street to Elwick Place. With something for every taste and even more mouth‑watering treats than ever before, it’s set to be a day you won’t want to miss.
The festival will bring visitors a smorgasbord of delicious experiences, including:
- Street food that’s guaranteed to hit the spot
- Live cooking demos that will really sizzle
- Local market traders with produce to drool over
- Live music to keep the town well-seasoned
- Cardboard Café serving up crafty fun for kids
- Street theatre to add a dash of extra flavour
Families can enjoy a month‑long trail across the town centre throughout June - see how many Jellycat Amuseables you can spot hiding in shops and cafés! If you tick off the whole list, you’ll be in with a chance of winning the collection.
To begin the festival weekend, ‘An Evening with Wine Garden of England’ will return on Friday 26 June 2026. Celebrating English Wine Week, this refined evening experience will once again celebrate many of the borough’s award‑winning vineyards, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy exceptional local wines paired with delicious food in a relaxed, atmospheric setting. It’s a wonderful chance to appreciate the quality of our local producers and ease into the festival with a truly enjoyable night.
Cllr Heather Hayward said: “I’m absolutely delighted that Ashford Borough Council is bringing the Ashford Food and Drink Festival back to the town centre. As part of Kent — the Garden of England — we’re incredibly proud of our wealth of local food and drink producers and independent businesses, and I’m thrilled that so many will be showcasing their fantastic products at the festival. I can’t wait to see the town centre buzzing with energy, with people enjoying great food and drink, discovering new flavours as they wander from stall to stall, experiencing brilliant entertainment, and supporting our wonderful local hospitality businesses. It’s going to be a truly joyful day for our community.”
More information, full line‑ups, and tasty announcements will be revealed soon.
