Ashford Borough Council is proud to support Pilgrims Hospices’ special fundraising campaign, offering real Christmas tree collections from homes across the Ashford borough.

Simply make a donation of your choice when registering your real Christmas tree for collection, and Pilgrims’ volunteer elves will collect your tree from your home and take it for recycling. This environmentally friendly service helps you enjoy a hassle-free end to the festive season, while supporting vital end-of-life care for local people.

Last year, more than 4,200 trees were collected from Ashford, Canterbury and Thanet, raising an incredible £78,000 for Pilgrims Hospices. Every donation makes a difference—your generosity could pay for a patient’s Christmas dinner, an hour of nursing care, one-to-one counselling, or a pamper session for patients.

Register your real Christmas tree for collection by 8am on Monday 5 January 2026 via the Pilgrims Hospice website. Collections will take place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th January 2026, covering Ashford, Tenterden, Charing, Wye, Appledore, Chilham, and surrounding towns and villages.

By supporting this campaign, you’re helping Pilgrims Hospices continue to provide free care and support to local people, their families, and carers. Thank you for making a difference!
