Pre-Application Service

The Planning Service will respond positively to requests for pre application advice in accordance with the pre-app guidance subject to the resources available at the time. Simpler and more basic advice, including householder proposals, is available on-line via the Council’s website. At present, this service is only available for ‘major’ developments but the implementation of the processes set out in this Guide is intended to create the capacity to resume the availability of the service for ‘non-major’ proposals too by the end of 2023.
