Cost of Living support for Ashford residents as first Eat Well Spend Less and Wellbeing roadshow of 2025 comes to Willesborough

Our first Eat Well Spend Less & Wellbeing Roadshow of 2025 was delivered this month in Willesborough to provide our community with resources, support, opportunities and to empower residents to become more resilient at no extra cost to them.

It was really pleasing to see that the roadshow was very well attended. We hope residents who popped along found it useful or took advantage of the free NHS health checks and COVID & Flu winter vaccinations available, or came along to seek guidance and support from the 28 amazing partners/agencies who were available on the day.

Funded by the UK Government, our roadshows offers residents with an ideal way to improve health and wellbeing and also complements the offer available at the One You Shop in Ashford Town Centre.

Healthy eating was also on the agenda at the Willesborough roadshow, with attendees able to benefit from guidance on shopping, preparation and cooking healthy, nutritious meals. Residents were also given recipe bags to take home with ingredients to make a recipe along with instructions.

Information was available on where and how to access local food banks along with community venues who offer free, pay as you feel or very reasonably priced meals in a social setting.

We’re delighted to let everyone know that our roadshows will be continuing throughout the year and our next scheduled roadshows will take place between 10am-2pm on 26 February at Aldington Village Hall and on 12 March at St Francis Church & Hall.
