Ashford Borough Council is delighted to announce that Ashford Theatre Society and Form n Thought have been awarded a free project space at Eureka Park in Ashford by Hypha Studios.

Hypha Studios are an organisation led by artists and curators that match-make properties and artists to provide free spaces for creative projects to thrive.

When the team acquired 100 Eureka Park (Upper Pemberton Ashford, TN25) they advertised it as a space for a group of performers (artists, musicians, actors) that are looking for free making space or rehearsal or performance space. Many Ashford-based organisations applied, but the space was ultimately awarded in May 2025, to Ashford Theatre Society and Form n Thought – a huge congratulations to both.

About the organisations

Ashford Theatre Society are an award-winning amateur theatrical group who are best known for producing Ashford’s Annual Family Pantomime each January, as well as their renowned musicals and cabaret evenings.

Form n Thought is a dynamic collective of artistic voices rooted in collaboration and local connection. The artists’ practices in media ranging from digital art to 3D sculpture, performance create a supportive and complementary artistic space. Engaged with their local community, they actively participate in events that foster artistic connection and involvement.

What next?

Both organisations have moved into the new space and for at least six months it will be their base to further develop their creative endeavours.

As part of their agreement with Hypha Studios, they will both be developing an incredible public programme of events to showcase their talents, which we will be sharing more details about soon.

Congratulations again, and a huge thank you to Hypha Studios for supporting Ashford’s creative industries.
