New £90,000 investment brings first-of-its-kind Irish bar to Ashford creating 10 jobs

A brand-new Irish bar promising to transform part of Ashford town centre will officially open its doors on Saturday 4th July, creating 10 new jobs and bringing a completely new hospitality concept to the town.
Rosie O Leary’s, located inside The Old Warehouse on Station Road, has been developed to offer something Ashford has never had before – combining live music, major live sporting events, premium beers, cocktails and authentic Irish hospitality in one venue.
The opening marks a significant investment in Ashford’s evening economy at a time when many high streets continue to face challenges.
General Manager Dan Harding believes Rosie O Leary’s will offer residents and visitors a fresh reason to spend time in the town centre.
“We’ve invested heavily in creating something genuinely different for Ashford. Rosie O Leary’s isn’t trying to be another pub or another nightclub. It’s a venue built around atmosphere, brilliant service and bringing people together.
“Whether you’re coming in to watch the football with a perfectly poured Guinness, enjoy live music with friends or simply relax after work, everyone will receive the same warm Irish welcome.
“We’re incredibly proud to be creating 10 new jobs and investing in Ashford’s night-time economy. We believe town centres thrive when people have exciting reasons to visit, and we hope Rosie O Leary’s becomes a place people can call their local for years to come.”
The venue features multiple large screens showing major sporting events throughout the year, regular live music, an extensive whiskey collection, premium cocktails and private VIP snugs for groups.
While inspired by Ireland’s famous hospitality, Rosie O Leary’s has been designed with a modern twist, offering a welcoming space for everything from casual drinks after work to big sporting occasions and weekend celebrations.
Doors officially open at 6pm on Saturday 4th July, with live entertainment planned throughout the opening weekend.
Dan added:
“Ashford deserves venues that people are excited to visit. We want Rosie O Leary’s to become a place where memories are made, friendships are celebrated and everyone feels welcome from the moment they walk through the door. That’s what Irish hospitality is all about.”
