The Planning Service will respond positively to requests for pre-application advice in accordance with the Council’s Pre-App Protocol and subject to the resources available at the time. Simpler and more basic advice, including those for householder proposals, is available on-line via the Council’s website.

Our pre-application advice offers professional guidance from qualified planning officers on the path through the planning process and includes applications that would be retrospective (or part retrospective) and flow from an investigation carried out by the planning enforcement team.
