How does RingGo work?
With many people preferring to avoid the shared surfaces of machines, use of our phone parking service, RingGo, has increased significantly since its introduction in June 2020. Here’s our guide on how to get started using RingGo TouchFree parking.
Download: Firstly, download the free RingGo app on your smartphone from your app store.
Register: Then, register with RingGo by providing a few short details. You can do this when you’ve downloaded the app, or you can pre-register online below:
Enter location: Once you’re registered, enter the location code to tell the app where you’re parked. You’ll find this code on signs where you’re parked.
Enter parking details: Then, enter the number plate (with no spaces) of the car you’re parking in and select how long you want to park for. Then, just enter your card details and hit pay. You’re all parked up and good to go! No need to display a ticket or queue up at the parking machine.

There is a small 20p administration fee applied to every RingGo parking session or extension.
Helpful reminders: RingGo’s optional text reminders alert you when your parking is about to run out. These incur a small charge, but you can opt-in or opt-out of them at any time. Just change your account preferences in the app or online.
Extend your parking TouchFree: If you want to extend your parking, just select your active parking session in the app, choose how long you want to extend for, and hit pay.
Helpful hint: when you’ve provided your details, RingGo securely stores them so you don’t have to enter them all next time. All you’ll need to do is confirm your location code and hit pay.
If you’re not a smartphone user: You can register online here, or by calling 01233 380 090 at the time you wish to park. The process is the same; just give your details over the phone. If you want to extend your parking, call back before your parking runs out and say how long you want to extend for.
