Business News article entitled Businesses need to act on new NHS COVID-19 app

Businesses need to download NHS QR code posters to work with the new NHS COVID-19 app when it launches.
The posters are easy to download and can be found online on the government website.

The app will be launching in England and Wales on Thursday 24 September. Following the launch, customers and visitors in England will be able to check-in on entry with their phone instead of filling out a check-in book or tool specific to a business. This will allow NHS Test and Trace to contact customers with public health advice should there be a COVID-19 outbreak.

In England, using QR codes will help businesses meet the new legal requirement, coming into force on Friday 18 September, to record the contact details of customers, visitors and staff on their premises. It will be a legal requirement to display the QR posters.

Businesses will also need to keep another record of customers’ details who do not have the app.

You can find more information on the app on the website.
