Ashford Borough Council is asking for residents in Pluckley parish to decide whether they would like the council to use an updated version of the Pluckley Neighbourhood Plan 2016-2031 to help it decide on planning applications in the neighbourhood plan area.

Pluckley Parish Council has undertaken a review of the Neighbourhood Plan that was ‘made’ in 2017. The Pluckley Neighbourhood Plan Review was submitted for independent examination at the end of 2023, which concluded that it met the ‘basic conditions’ and subject to a few modifications could proceed to referendum. The referendum of the Pluckley Neighbourhood Plan will be held on 2 May 2024 after which, in the event of a positive result, the plan will be formally adopted by the council.

You can vote in the referendum if you live in Pluckley Parish and:

  • You are registered to vote in local council elections; and
  • You are 18 years of age or over on Thursday 2 May 2024

You have to be registered to vote by Tuesday 16 April 2024 to vote in the referendum. You can check if you are registered to vote by calling our helpline on 01233 330402.
