The Head of Development is responsible for:

• initiating and delivering a range of strategic in-house projects particularly with regard to major housing delivery on council acquired sites and innovative carbon reduction projects

• leading on the council's HRA Housing developments within the council ensuring the Housing Clients needs are meeting the delivery of affordable housing.

• leading, sharing learning and inspiring a cross service team of technical and professional staff that has responsibility for the delivery of the council’s housing and de-carbonisation projects.

• securing external funding opportunities to enable the council to deliver its priorities, such as Homes England grants and specific government department funding.
